Toys Hill, Kent

Today we visited Toys Hill in Kent, one of our favourite scenic walking routes, located less than 40 miles from central London. The woodland is so special at this time of year, with its carpet of autumn leaves. The trees are definitely starting to feel the approaching winter chill.

Being a National Trust site, the walking routes through Toys Hill and neighbouring Ide Hill are nicely mapped out with waymarks for both short and longer strolls. Both Toys and Ide Hill are also served by cosy country pubs!

If only one thing could be emphasised about the Kent countryside, it would be its stunning hilltop views. The woodlands are also a safe home for birds of prey - you are guaranteed to spot at least one here - binoculars advised.
