I'll start at the beginning...

Welcome to 'A country girl in London'. By happy coincidence, our story, in fact, starts along the beautiful coastline of Suffolk. My inspiration for starting this blog largely comes from having grown up in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. To me, Suffolk is and always will be home.

However, as for many of us, life has taken me away from the place I grew up and I now find myself in the big city. When I first arrived in London I imagined I would find bustling streets, towering office blocks, the beeping of cars. To some extent, I have found all of these things. But, most importantly, I have also found the natural world, wildlife and abundant green spaces.

In this blog, I hope to show off the opportunities that the big city and its surrounding counties have to offer us all. Not just opportunities to work and live life to the fullest, but also to appreciate the true beauty of the landscape that the UK has to offer.
